Introduction to Carbon Black Products 
Product Name: Carbon Black (Carbon Black), CAS：1333-86-4  
Carbon black is a nanoscale amorphous carbon powder obtained by incomplete combustion or thermal cracking of hydrocarbon raw materials (heavy oil, natural gas, etc.). It is divided into three categories according to its use: rubber reinforced carbon black, pigment carbon black, and conductive carbon black; Color black pigment is generally used for coloring paints, inks, and plastics.   
1、 Typical physical and chemical indicators (reference for pigment carbon black) 
-Appearance: Ultra fine black powder 
-Carbon content: ≥ 95% 
-Specific surface area: 20~800 m ²/g (the smaller the particle size, the larger the specific surface area, and the higher the blackness) 
-DBP oil absorption value: 40-200 cm ³/100g (characterizing the height of carbon black structure) 
-PH value: 3~9 (oxidation treated carbon black tends to be acidic) 
-Density: 1.8~2.1 g/cm ³ 
-Solubility: Insoluble in most solvents such as water, alcohols, esters, ketones, etc 
2、 Core performance characteristics 
Extremely high blackness and coloring power, strong covering power, it is the most commonly used black pigment in industry, and can be obtained with a small amount of addition to achieve deep black color.   
Excellent UV resistance, absorbing UV light, delaying the aging of polymer materials, and improving the weather resistance of outdoor products.   
Good chemical stability, acid and alkali resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance, and not easy to fade.   
Multifunctional: Rubber system serves as a reinforcing agent to enhance wear resistance and tensile strength; High structured carbon black has conductivity and anti-static effects.   
Surface modifiability: oxidation treated carbon black has better dispersibility in water-based system (styrene acrylic lotion); Unmodified suitable for oily systems (E51 epoxy, ethyl acetate system).   
3、 Main application areas (can be paired with front titanium dioxide, iron oxide red, white carbon black) 
1. Coating industry: epoxy anti-corrosion paint, water-based styrene acrylic exterior wall paint, industrial paint, powder coating, black coloring, UV aging resistance.   
2. Ink industry: water-based ink, gravure ink, offset ink.   
3. Rubber and plastic industry: tires, rubber seals; PA66, PP, PE plastic, black masterbatch coloring, anti-aging; Conductive/anti-static plastic parts.   
4. Others: battery materials, conductive adhesives, cable shielding materials, cement building materials color matching.
