In the design of rubber vulcanization formula, it is difficult for a single type of accelerator to simultaneously balance vulcanization efficiency, physical properties, and processing window. Accelerator D (DPG, diphenylguanidine) as a guanidine activator, combined with thiazole and thiuram accelerators (M, TS, DM), is a classic formula for rubber engineers.

Accelerator D belongs to alkaline medium speed accelerators, which can be used alone or as a second accelerator/activator in more scenarios. Adding a small amount of DPG can significantly enhance the vulcanization activity of M and TS systems, improve the hardness and tensile stress of the rubber material, shorten the vulcanization time, and is particularly suitable for products such as thick section rubber, hard rubber, conveyor belts, and heavy-duty tires.

The product comes in two forms: powder and granulation. Granulated products have lower dust, more environmentally friendly feeding, and reduce workshop dust pollution. During use, it should be noted that DPG can cause discoloration of the rubber material. It is only suitable for black and dark colored rubber products and is not suitable for light colored, food contact rubber, or latex systems.
